Hairstyles for Ladies Summer 2010

Hairstyles for Ladies Summer 2010

Ladies have a wide variety of hairstyles to choose from for summer 2010. More and more hairstylist are developing styles that fit in with the busy lifestyle that most modern women live. These styles allow women to have long hair that is easy to style, short hair they can just wash and finger dry, or medium styles that are the best of both worlds.

Long, sleek hair is an excellent style for summer 2010. Whether layered or all one length, long hair looks excellent when it's healthy and sleek. Use a flat iron and smoothing serum to get the look, which won't take you very long at all to do. There is nothing wrong with long hair during the summer, so if it's what you want, try the sleek look for a sexy new hairstyle.

For those who love short hair, pixies are as popular as ever. Extremely short, or the newer layered pixie that is just a little bit longer, either one is great for most women. If your face shape normally prohibits you from enjoying a pixie cut, then you might want to consider one of the layered pixies. These styles are a bit longer while still retaining the look and shape of the traditional pixie, and are great ways to use bangs to make the look work for you.
Medium hair lovers will adore the shag style this summer. This layered cut is great because it is extremely easy to style. In fact, many people use their fingers and nothing else! Light-weight thanks to the layers, it is very attractive with its razor textures at the ends. Shags can be longer or shorter depending on personal preference, but they always look great and are excellent for anyone, no matter what shape their face is.

Graduated Bob Hairstyle for Summer

Graduated Bob Hairstyle for Summer

One hairstyle that never goes out of style is the bob hairstyle. Bobs are great short hairstyles that are easy to maintain, attractive, and versatile. The bob can be adjusted to suit any face shape. The graduated bob is just one of the many different kinds of bobs that you can get. This bob suits pretty much all face shapes, and is a good way of showing off both your face and any coloring ideas that you have.

Usually, the graduated bob is short at the back of your neck and gets longer as you get towards your face. Graduated layers need to be cut in such a way that your hair has body and movement. To get the graduated look, the sides should be step cut neatly. You can part it straight on one side or do an uneven parting on the side and it will still look great. You can even wear this kind of bob long – simply cut your hair short at the nape of the neck but use long and graduated sides, with the length just above your chest at the longest point, and part your hair in the middle.

There are many ways to style a graduated bob. For example, style some hair in waves and leave some straight. Use sweeping side bangs to make your graduated bob look soft and sensual. You can add a fringe for an even more unique look. A straight blunt fringe to your eyebrows will give you a bold look, while a softer look can be gotten from cutting your bangs into a wispy fringe and sweeping it sideways. Straight fringes will give you a cute, fun look, so just experiment until you find what you love!

Nicole Scherzinger Hair Color

Nicole Scherzinger Hair Color

Nicole Scherzinger is a beautiful woman who is the lead singer of the well-known group, the Pussycat Dolls. Nicole is extremely talented because she is a singer, a songwriter, a dancer, and an actress. Her beautiful hair is the envy of many women who long to have her signature look.
Nicole Scherzinger
You may be surprised that Nicole's hair is natural. She was blessed with such beautiful hair thanks to her genes. If your hair is naturally black, you can easily get her hair color. In fact, if your hair is healthy, you probably already have her hair color. You can enhance your highlights if you want to but if your hair is healthy, you probably won't need to. If your hair is any other color and you want to match Nicole's then you'll need to dye your hair black. Before you dye your hair, make sure that it's healthy, as this will lessen any damage your hair may get from the dyeing process. Many professional stylists will refuse to dye your hair if it's broken, very dry, or otherwise unhealthy, so just make sure to start using that conditioner!

If you have never colored your hair, it is best that you see a stylist. This way you will be able to get the color that you are looking for without having to worry about messing up your hair. Keep in mind that your skin tone plays an important part in how your hair will ultimately look. Very pale skin tones may not look all that great with black hair; in fact, the look can be startling. If you don't mind this, or know that black hair will look great on you, then go ahead and dye it black. If you have good natural highlights, then you may not have to add highlights. If you do, make sure that they will enhance your own highlights and go for colors that will shine silvery or a deeper black.

Are Scene Kids Identical with Emo?

Are Scene Kids Identical with Emo?

Scene kids are young people that have become prominent over the past decade. They are usually aged 14 - 21 and sometimes older or younger than that. Scene kids who are more than 20 are commonly regarded as scenesters.
Scene kids are most often mistaken as emo kids because there are a lot of similarities between the 2, but there are also many differences. When emo music first became a trend in the 80s and 90s, teenagers would go to these emo concerts.
Today, emo music is still famous, and because scene kids often go to ‘hardcore’ shows, they are seen interacting with emo kids. Thinking that they belong to emo, the two groups become friendly with each other. That is why emo hair is popular with scene kids, and band t-shirts become popular with emos. The emo term is often abused to the extent that many people categorize emo and scene as one group.Scene kids love Hello Kitty, dinosaurs, little kiddy things, and bright colors. Most of them are nice people, but they feel offended if you call them emo. Some scene kids also do not want to be called scene and they prefer no label at all. Some scene kids give the impression that they are better than others, but that depends on the person, not majority.
Most often, you can see them with their iPod, computer and cell phone. A lot of people do not like scene kids because they got the impression that scene kids are copy-cats and they all look the same, but they are not.

Beach Hair Ideas

Beach Hair Ideas for Summer 2010

Everyone loves the beach, but no one likes having to spend a long time trying to get a hairstyle that will look good on the beach without becoming flat or frizzed. There are several styles that you can choose from that will give you a great look without all the fuss, and will get you out and having fun in the sun in no time.

One of the best styles to wear for the beach is a low-key wavy style. This style is very easy to do yourself, so you don't have to worry about getting an appointment with a stylist. In fact, this style looks best when it's not perfectly done! Wash your hair and towel dry, then put it up in a few fat braids and go to bed. When you get up in the morning, just undo the braids, comb your fingers through your hair, and you're ready to hit the beach. This look won't frizz or anything, and you'll look great all day long.

Another great style is just a ponytail. Yes, a ponytail. Pull your hair into a ponytail, preferably a low one, and then separate the tail into two different sections. Simply twist them about halfway down and secure. This is a cute and trendy look that will keep your hair cleaner and out of your face. You can also try a braid instead of just a twist, and that will look wonderful on the beach as well. Adding a flower or other accessories is a great idea for a beach party.

Popular Hair Colors for Summer

Popular Hair Colors for Summer

Summer is a time for fun, excitement, and brand new hair colors. Hair color trends come and go, sometimes as fast as the actual season they are popular. This summer, you are free to do pretty much whatever you want, but you should keep a few things in mind when you are choosing a new color for your hair.

A trend that will be rather popular is the 80's cyber hair colors. Streaks of black, neon green, blues, and pinks in unexpected places will be in, but this kind of hair will depend entirely on what scene you are currently into. Contrasting highlights are another thing that will be pretty popular this summer. For example, brown hair with platinum highlights or blonde hair with red highlights. Again, this is more of a scene look and you should be careful when you decide to go with this style that it is really what you want, because it can be hard to get your hair looking natural again.

Natural colors
are very popular for this summer. This means choosing colors that look good with your complexion, not something that is obviously fake or is overly dramatic. If you want to go for a natural color, keep in mind that highlights are not as popular in a natural look this summer. If you really want highlights, go for the sun-kissed look. Use colors that are just a shade lighter than your hair color, and spread them around under the layers to give a soft, natural look to your hair. You should also choose matte colors, like reds, deep browns, or blacks. If you really like blonde, choose warm blonde tones, such as honey blondes or golden blondes. Platinum will be fine this summer as long as it matches your skin tone.

Medium Haircuts for Girls, Summer 2010

Medium Haircuts for Girls, Summer 2010

Medium haircuts
are perfect for many girls. They offer all the benefits of long hair, but without all the hassles of long hair. In fact, some medium styles are actually wash and go styles, that a girl can style with just her fingers. This is great for those girls who have a very active lifestyle, or those who just don't want to spend a lot of time on their hair. As amazing as it may seem, some girls just aren't that fond of messing with their hair!
Shag Hair

One great medium style for girls this summer is the shag. The shag has made a comeback, and it's cuter than ever. Girls of all ages can enjoy the shag, which is one of the easiest hairstyles to manage. It is definitely best to get this style done by a professional, since a razor is often used to texture the hair and if not used right, can damage hair. Shags are cut in layers, with lots of height on top if desired, and are an easy, messy look. In fact, it is quite easy to wash a shag and head right out the door because no special tools or products are needed to style a shag.
Bob Hair

Another great medium length style for girls is a bob. Inverted bobs are excellent – these bobs are longer in back than they are in front. Angled bobs are another excellent choice. Bobs can be cut to suit any face shape, so any girl will look great with a cute bob. These hairstyles are also being cut longer than ever, so a medium length bob will be right in style. Bobs are much more flattering than some other medium styles, and are easy to transition from daytime games to dinners out with family. Bobs are also much cooler in the summer than some other styles, and layering can give a girl a lot of options where things like highlighting is concerned.

Long Hairstyles

Long Hairstyles

If you want to have a trendy hairstyle, then you should have a long hairstyle. That is and pretty much has been the case forever. Not all women, though, look good with long hair. If you are extra short, for example, you wouldn't want to have really long hair because it would make you look even shorter.

The key to getting a long hairstyle to look right is to design the cut so that the face shape is flattered and facial flaws, such as a high forehead, wide face or narrow chin are accented or camouflaged with the haircut.

Options for a long hairstyle include long or short layering, texturizing, side swept bangs or full bangs, thinning out and highlights or lowlights.

Before you decide on a long hairstyle - whether you want to grow your hair out or get hair extensions, you should try on various styles using hairstyle imaging software. Click on photo, left and above, for more details on how you can do this.

Top Black Weave Hairstyles For Trendy Summer Hair

Top Black Weave Hairstyles For Trendy Summer Hair
In years gone by, weaves resembled odd scalp attachments and looked rather unnatural. Given the expansion of the hair industry, especially when it comes to black hair, weaves are now made to look much more natural. Here are some of today’s top black weave hairstyles. Today the aim of fashion is to get the best out of a simple look and stay true to the theme less is more. For this reason the hottest black weave hairstyle at the moment is the straight look. These weaves are made from synthetic or human hair, and come in a variety of styles. You can wear it down or up in a ponytail, or you can braid it or put it into a bun. They are also available in a range of colors, but make sure you pick one that complements your complexion. On the other end of the spectrum is the curly look. These also come in a variety of lengths, and give any woman a funky look. Another great weave is braid extensions. You can choose your length and the thickness of the braids. Once you have them you can style them in a variety of ways. Wear them loose, up in a bun or in a ponytail. For a style with more personality you can get a cascading design. This will get you t make quite an entrance wherever you go. If you want a more edgy look you can go for a shorter weave. It’s low maintenance and sexy. Don’t be afraid to add some color to your weave. It doesn’t have to be anything outrageous like a bright pink or baby blue, but you can have natural tones and highlights put it.
These are just some of today’s top black weave hairstyles, so if they appeal to you treat yourself with the latest in hair fashion.

2010 Straight Bangs Haircuts

2010 Straight Bangs Haircuts

Bangs are as popular in 2010 as they were in 2009, possibly even more so. Bangs are great ways to change your style or even to make a statement. Straight hairstyles look wonderful with bangs, and there are a wide variety to choose from. Make sure that you talk to your stylist so that you can find the hairstyle that will suit you best. Some people look better with very short, blunt bangs while others need long, wispy straight bangs. Look at pictures and take them with you so your stylist knows what you're wanting; this way, you're sure to walk out with the best possible style for you.

Bold bangs
are the statement of the year for 2010. Straight hairstyles may have bangs that are flat and straight, or that are straight but swept to the side. Some styles have bangs that are cut with razors into fringes that help to bring out your best features. For example, some of the newer pixie cuts are longer, cut in layers, and feature a razored fringe that helps to add volume and style; this keeps your pixie cut from being flat looking in the front.

A great medium length straight hairstyle
is the medium bob. This style is a basic or angled bob that is cut to medium length, instead of to the nape of the neck. Long straight bangs that either come over one eye or are pinned back are perfect for these styles. You can always wear your hair in straight layers with your bangs pushed to one side, or even grow your bangs out so that they are the same length as the rest of your hair and will allow you to easily frame your face.

Highlighted Hairstyles in 2010

Highlighted Hairstyles in 2010

I keep seeing a trend among celebrities and women every time I turn on the TV: short to medium hairstyles with subtle highlights. It makes me feel good that I’m in style (except for the subtle highlights part) because I keep my hair short ritually. I’m one of those women a short hairstyle looks good on. My head is apple-shaped (I’m not kidding; my nickname was “Applehead” growing up) so my hair style is flat, and my bangs are cut so that they’re always side swept. The left side of my hair is longer than the right, but both sides are kept flat to my ears and the sides of my face. Sounds crazy, but it looks stunning. If I do say so myself.

I love it, but you’ll probably never see anyone on the red carpet wearing it. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, as I don’t want a million clones of my haircut walking around. And you probably don’t either. So while I’ll let you in on the highlighted hairstyles of this year, I want you to take a chance and personalize it to you.

Short cuts are in, of course. The great thing about short hair is that you can play with it. You might think it’s stuck in that particular style, but it’s not. When I first got my hair cut it was super short, almost boyish in length. But it’s grown out in that exact same style and now it looks better with some length to it. If you get your hair cut short, and are unhappy with it, remember that it’s just hair. It’ll grow back.

No one said you had to keep a short haircut either. You can always grow it out to shoulder length. Medium hair-length is all the rage this year, because it’s just so easy to maintain and take care of, and can be worn in any style you choose. Remember, the key to personalizing it is making it your own, so talk to your stylist about what you want done, and enjoy your new hairstyle.

5 Things to Remember to Avoid Being Branded as a Poser Scene Kid

5 Things to Remember to Avoid Being Branded as a Poser Scene Kid

If you are a scene kid who wants to adopt various gimmicks copied from others and you want to be a scene stealer all the time, you might be branded as a poser or trying hard by others.  If this happens, you annoy people and instead of being recognized as a smart scene kid, you may be isolated by other scene kids and the public too.
PhotobucketA lot of scene kids have become popular by setting their new trends.  You too can achieve that by creating an original scene style.  Think of something that you are familiar with in the scene environment.  But before you do this, be sure that you have a good standing in the social scene otherwise, people will just think that you’re a wannabe and thus, they might just ignore you.

When you go to a show and tell your friends about it, make sure that you are knowledgeable in what you’re saying.  You must be prepared to answer all their questions to avoid being labeled as a poser.

If you intend to join social networking sites, avoid Stardoll.  This site has numerous posers trying to make an impressive reputation in the scene world.

If you are a scene girl, try to use credible scene queens to pattern your image such as Raquel Reed, Audrey Kitching, Philfingerbang, Zui Suicide, Kiki Kannibal and Hammy Horror.  These idols have made their mark in the public scene and surely, you will never go wrong in adopting their image.

You cannot be branded as a poser if you always think first before you act on anything.
