Hold it for a few seconds and release. Pin the curl with a pin before moving on to create the next curl. When all your curls are in place blow-dry it some more and then apply some hair spray. Leave the curls to set until they have cooled down. Remove the pins and use your fingers to tousle the curls, not a brush or comb.
